Children coming from abroad: Please be aware that the Ministry of Education (MOE) has confirmed that their final cut-off date for registration of all new children for academic year 2016/17, coming from abroad, is the 31st January 2017. We have been advised by the MOE that parents of children entering school after the 31st January 2017, will require special permission from the MOE Private Schools Office (MOE, 11th Floor, Al Dafna, Doha, Qatar) in order for their child to be registered with DESS. DESS, like all schools in Qatar, cannot register any new children, starting in school after the 31st January 2017, without written permission from the MOE; this permission is required before we can allow your child to start school. Please note: this permission will not normally be given by the MOE before your child’s Qatari Residency Visa has been issued. DESS reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place if the applicant is not in possession of Qatar Residence Permit prior to the start date detailed above.
All children must be in possession of a valid Qatari Residency Permit before starting school in Qatar.
